REDLINE - Preliminary Casting Submission

Thank you for your interest in REDLINE, an upcoming psychological/conspiracy horror short film currently in pre-production in Georgia. REDLINE follows a documentary crew investigating an abandoned American town that was evacuated and sealed off decades earlier. After crossing the restricted boundary, they uncover evidence suggesting the official explanation for what happened there may have been a lie. The project is being developed as an approximately 15-minute festival short and proof of concept.We are currently conducting a preliminary talent search while production locations, dates and scheduling are finalized. You do not need to submit an audition or self-tape at this time. Actors selected for the next stage of casting will be contacted directly and provided with audition sides and additional character information.

AVAILABLE ROLES

LENA - LEAD

Journalist/documentarian investigating the abandoned town of Gravesend. Intelligent, skeptical, driven and willing to push farther than the rest of the team in pursuit of the truth. As the investigation progresses, Lena is forced to confront the possibility that what happened in Gravesend may still be happening. Requires a performer capable of carrying the film through subtle, grounded reactions and escalating psychological tension.

OWEN - SUPPORTING LEAD

The documentary team's audio specialist. Observant, technically minded and relatively grounded at the beginning of the investigation. Owen begins detecting sounds and disturbances through his equipment that the others initially cannot hear. The performance should feel natural and restrained as curiosity turns into genuine fear.

CALEB - SUPPORTING LEAD

A member of the documentary crew. Practical, dependable and protective. Caleb initially approaches Gravesend as simply another location the team needs to document, but circumstances eventually force him into an increasingly dangerous role within the group's survival. Requires strong dramatic ability and comfort with physically demanding scenes.

MIRA - KEY SUPPORTING ROLE

A woman with a direct connection to Gravesend and its past. Controlled, intelligent and difficult to read. Mira knows significantly more about what occurred inside the evacuation zone than she initially reveals. The character should feel like a real person carrying an extraordinary secret — not a stereotypical horror character.

MARA / SUBJECT 31 - FEATURED ROLE

A mysterious individual whose existence is directly connected to the events that caused Gravesend to be abandoned. Additional information about this character will only be provided during the audition/callback process.
